Charlotte Demoor Goldschmidt showcased the e-QuoL mission to enhance supportive care for young cancer survivors

Last September, the e-QuoL project was presented at the 30th PanCare Conference, held in the beautiful city of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event was hosted by Lorna Zadravec, a radiation oncologist and long-term follow-up (LTFU) specialist from the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana (IOL) and one of our valued e-QuoL partners.

Charlotte DemoorGoldschmidt, e-QuoL’s scientific coordinator, introduced the project to an audience of experts, survivors, and healthcare professionals. Her presentation highlighted e-QuoL’s mission and objectives, sparking engaging conversations among the attendees.

The conference also provided an opportunity for the Resilience team, who leads Work Package 4 on Implementation, to start recording interviews with Childhood, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancer Survivors (CAYACs) and healthcare professionals (27 interviewees, 25 videos = 10 survivors, 11 experts, 5 parents & siblings, aged 20-40). These interviews will be key in shaping the electronic Personalised Supportive Care Tool (e-PSCT), giving voice to those directly impacted by cancer. Additionally, Resilience will produce a series of content to share the project’s aims and findings. The material is expected to be available on January 2025.

Stay tuned for more updates on this inspiring project!
