Project milestones, European visibility, and upcoming digital tools highlighted at key regional events.
The e-QuoL project continues to expand its impact and visibility across Europe. This May, the EU-funded research and innovation initiative took center stage at two major regional events, sharing its mid-project achievements and technological advancements with both the medical community and the general public.
📢 Boosting European Visibility in Zagreb
On May 13, 2026, Dr. Jelena Roganovic successfully presented the Horizon projects e-QuoL and PanCare4AYA at the Children’s Hospital Zagreb.
The activity was carried out as part of the national initiative “Open Days of EU Projects 2026”, organized by the Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds. This dissemination effort successfully increased public and professional awareness regarding the real-world impact of EU-funded research in the healthcare sector, promoting international collaboration and the role of EU funding in advancing medical research.
🛠️ Midterm Workshop in Jahorina: From Vision to First Results
Shortly after, from May 15–17, 2026, the project moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the 24th Pediatric Days of the Republic of Srpska, held at Jahorina.
Dr. Jelena Roganovic and Jelica Predojevic Samardzic led a dedicated workshop titled “From Vision to First Results: eQuoL at Midterm”, which brought together approximately 30 pediatricians. The session served to share key results and achievements from two crucial hubs: the Children’s Hospital Zagreb and the University Clinical Centre of Banja Luka.
Key Takeaways from the Workshop:
- Long-Term Care: The session emphasized the critical importance of structured, multidisciplinary care, psychosocial support, and seamless continuity of care for childhood and adolescent cancer survivors as they transition into adulthood.
- Digital Innovation Progress: Participants received exciting updates on e-QuoL’s digital ecosystem. The SurPass and LogAfter platforms are currently entering their final testing phase, while the MyCare App remains actively under development.
Both events successfully fostered knowledge exchange among project collaborators and healthcare professionals, reinforcing a shared commitment to improving long-term survivorship care through the e-QuoL project.
