
The University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska (UKCRS) is highly specialized healthcare, scientific, research and educational institution dedicated to providing quality services at the secondary and tertiary health care levels to the population of the Republic of Srpska and population of the wider region.
The University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpske (UKCRS) is the second largest hospital in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the largest and most important public health institution in the entity Republic of Srpska (B&H). It is founded in 1937. as a general hospital. UKCRS consists of 24 clinics, 6 institutes and 13 services and more than 3,700 employees, of which 837 are doctors.
The Department of Children’s Hematology-Oncology is a National reference center for diagnosis, treatment and follow- up of treated children with malignant diseases in the entity of the Republic of Srpska. The Department participates in clinical research from field of pediatric oncology, and participated in the study group IBFM ALLIC 2009 as a single center and ALLIC 2022 as well as several clinical studies and projects (Tempus Phare 2002, etc.)
UKCRS shall contribute to the project (WP 2,3,4,6,7) with its expertise and experience supporting the overall project efforts. The crucial support will be provided in data collection on patients using existing clinical information system based on obtained informed consent and in line with existing ethics procedures. Collaboration with the non-governmental sector is of utmost importance, especially with the Association of Parents of Children with malignant diseases “The Spark” and the survivor group within that association. This close collaboration will provide additional views and data on whole chain-of-value that will be developed with the project. UKCRS will also provide additional efforts in promotion of project results and benefits to the wider community.
