The Giannina Gaslini Institute is one of the largest and most important pediatric polyclinics in Europe, one of the few Italian hospitals entirely dedicated to the care of children, where pediatric research plays a crucial role in elucidating the causes and improving the treatment and prognosis of rare and serious diseases. Specializing in high complexity care, disabling, rare and chronic diseases, it cares for children from conception to adulthood. The Center for Diagnosis, Observation, Prevention After Oncology Treatment (DOPO) cares for a large cohort of childhood cancer survivors and works closely with all basic facilities and clinical disciplines to achieve optimal patient care.
The Giannini Gaslini Institute is leading WP5 dedicated to creating and conducting a prospective cohort study with 240 CAYACS to evaluate the effectiveness of the eQuoL intervention in 5 European countries (France, Italy, Hungary, Germany, and Norway).¡

Monica Muraca
Monica is a pediatric endocrinologist with deep experience in childhood cancer survivorship. She is in charge of the late effect clinic (DOPO Clinic) at the Giannina Gaslini Institute in Genoa, Italy, where she is involved in the coordination of several national and EU research projects.
