Saint-Luc, the academic hospital of the Catholic University of Leuven (UCLouvain), is one of the largest hospitals in Belgium. Saint-Luc University Hospital offers reference care, treats most of the serious, rare or delicate pathologies for which patients from all over Belgium, and abroad are referred. As well as providing care, Saint-Luc University Hospital plays a leading role in clinical research and teaching doctors, nurses and paramedics. Saint-Luc is also at the heart of a network of partners who provide comprehensive, coordinated patient care, both before and after hospitalisation.
Organized into medical departments and services, the hospital also includes a number of multi-disciplinary and specialized centers for comprehensive patient care such as the King Albert II Institute, one of Europe’s leading reference centers in oncology, treating all types of cancer in adults and children.
For the e-Quol project, Saint-Luc University Hospital will contribute in most of the WP’s but the biggest input will be for WP3 and WP4 to create a web-based information tool and to develop an electronic personalised supportive care tool (e-PSCT) for adolescent and young adults cancer survivors.
