Success in Bosnia and Herzegovina: First Patients Enrolled in the LOG-after Digital Passport via the e-QuoL Project

03/07/2026

The international rollout of this long-term follow-up tool reaches a major milestone with the successful registration of the first young patients by Dr. Jelica Predojević’s team.

The European e-QuoL project has reached a major milestone in its mission to improve the quality of life for children, adolescents, and young adults who have survived cancer (CAYACS). In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the project’s vision has become a reality: the first three real patients have been successfully enrolled in the official LOG-after digital follow-up platform.

Within the framework of e-QuoL, partner countries can choose, if wished, between different cutting-edge tools validated by the consortium (SurPass or LOG-after). Bosnia and Herzegovina firmly opted for LOG-after—a secure, open-source platform originally developed in France by Epiconcept alongside patient associations—by translating and adapting the interface for its local clinical environment.

Dr. Jelica Predojević, head of the local medical team, shared the human reality of this digital transition: “I have to admit that I approached the process with a fair amount of apprehension and uncertainty at the beginning. However, after enrolling our third patient, I already feel much more comfortable and confident with the process. I believe this is a milestone worth celebrating.”

What is LOG-after?

Already proven in 17 hospital centers in France, LOG-after addresses a critical need: monitoring the long-term side effects (such as cardiac or hormonal issues) that can appear years after treatment ends. The secure software provides patients and their doctors with a clear medical summary, personalized screening reminders, and practical educational resources to ensure no survivor is left without proper follow-up.

A European Momentum for this Summer

The momentum generated by Bosnia and Herzegovina marks the beginning of a wave of rollouts across Europe. Starting this July, Hungary is expected to begin implementing its own survivorship passport, while Belgium is currently finalizing its upcoming integration phases.

Furthermore, the e-QuoL technical teams will launch another major strategic initiative this summer: interoperability. The goal is to connect passports like LOG-after directly to the main myCare-e-QuoL platform, creating a more connected, compassionate, and equitable support system for young survivors throughout Europe.
